Help is here, if discriminated at work

Been discriminated at work? Justice denied? 31% of AsAm workers surveyed by EEOC earlier this year said YES! Help is here for the 31%.

A Supreme Court Decision made it easier for workers to show they were victims of retaliation after they've accused their employers of discrimination. See http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/23/washington/23scotus.html.

Why is the Supreme court decision so important to AsAms?

Answer: AsAms have the highest % in perceived discrimination at work according to the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) survey but the lowest % in filing complaints with EEOC. The reasons for this shocking contradiction are probably
a) owing to cultural reasons AsAms don't want to get involved in lawsuits. That is, they don't think they can win, and
b) as new immigrants they feel powerless to protect themselves against employer retaliation. That is, they think things could only get worse if they complain.

With the recent Supreme Court decision, discriminated AsAm workers get helped in two ways
1. Employers will be less likely to retaliate, and
2. If they still do, it is easier for you to win the lawsuit against "retaliation by your employer" regardless of whether you win the original discrimination lawsuit.

It's time to overcome our cultural inhibition and fear. Justice denied? File a complaint with the EEOC against your employer.
