GREAT NEWS

The following press release is self-explanatory. It certainly verifies the great support that 80-20 enjoys among the Asian American voters. In addition, 80-20 predicted 4 weeks ago that its endorsement of Kerry would cause the Kerry/Bush vote to change from the 43/36 reported by a national poll to at least 65/35 on election day. All of that came true! Thanks to your support, 80-20 has delivered two consecutive bloc votes. Together, we've achieved CONSIDERABLE political unity, which is great for our children. The following press release may attract considerable mainstream media attention.

For Immediate Release (Nov. 5, 2004)

Asian American Voters Bucked The National Voting Trend

President Bush did better against his opponent in 2004 than in 2000, nationally and in all race subgroups except for the Asian Americans, according to LA Times' national exit poll. Somehow, the Asian Americans bucked the national trend. See
http://a1022.g.akamai.net/f/1022/8158/5m/images.latimes.com/media/acrobat/2004-11/14935824.pdf
and
http://images.latimes.com/media/acrobat/2003-07/8643142.pdf
The Latinos shifted towards Bush by 14 points; the Blacks by 9, the Jews by 7; & the Whites by 4*. However, Asian Americans shifted away from Bush by 5 points*, bucking the national trend. Why?

S. B. Woo, President of 80-20 PAC, Inc., the largest Asian American political action committee said, "This unique result is not an accident. It is a reflection of how much the internal political cohesion of the Asian American community has improved."
"We sent 8 pro-Kerry emails into the in-box of about 70% of our voters in the 4 short weeks after 80-20 endorsed Kerry. In terms of monetary value, sending 8 messages to 1.1 million families is worth $4 million dollars, using third class postal mail. If first class mails are sent, the cost doubles. A cyberspace organization can do all of that at practically zero cost. That is the effectiveness of 80-20," said Woo.

The Asian American community has traditionally been ignored by both Democrats and Republicans. The 80-20 PAC was organized in 1998 to correct that "benign neglect." 80-20 promises to deliver a swing bloc vote to the political party which most effectively serves the
Asian American community's rightful concerns. "

We could have delivered the votes to President Bush this year, if he and the Republican party had paid more attention to our needs. The Republican party probably didn't believe that 80-20 has the ability to deliver votes. After two consecutive deliveries of bloc votes, I hope both
parties will now compete to serve our legitimate needs. We don't want favorable treatment. We only ask for equal justice and equal opportunity in workplaces," said Woo.

80-20 was rated as one of the two most effective cyberspace political organizations in the 2000 election, in a book authored by three Syracuse University professors
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0813340055 .
In 2000, the 80-20 PAC endorsed Gore, and delivered nationally "more than two of every three votes" to him, according to a very large national survey of how Asian Americans voted, partially sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
http://www.80-20initiative.net/PNAAPs.html . In 2000, the LA Times national exit poll agreed with the "NSF poll" within the statistical uncertainty.

*In 2004, the Bush: Kerry ratios were Whites (57:42); Blacks (14:86); Latinos (45:54); Jews (26:74) and Asians (34:64). In 2000, the Bush : Gore ratios were Whites (54:43); Blacks (9:90); Latinos (38:61); Jews (22:77) and Asians (37:62)

A Short, Final Message from 80-20 Before 11/02

In the final analysis, our political system encourages individuals to vote THEIR OWN INTERESTS. Hence, the reason that 80-20 urges all Asian Americans to vote as a bloc for Kerry is simple. It is THE BEST WAY TO POLITICALLY EMPOWER OURSELVES. FOR OUR OWN GOOD, we must reward politicians who, in comparison, has helped & will help us more – KERRY.

Politicians always court a community that can deliver a SWING bloc vote. The Republican Party might think that the bloc vote delivered by 80-20 in 2000 was an accident. After this coming bloc vote on Nov. 2, whether Bush wins or loses, the Republican Party will face the reality of an ASAm bloc vote.

RESULT? BOTH PARTIES WILL COMPETE TO SERVE OUR
RIGHTFUL CONCERNS! Our children will benefit, & America
becomes “a more perfect Union.”

So please. Please vote to empower yourself on November 2.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE VOTING

1) To find one's POLLING STATION, call 1-866-our-vote or
http://www.mypollingplace.com/find.php .

2) If you are voting for the FIRST time, you MUST present photo
identification,
3) If you are prevented from voting for any reason, you HAVE THE
RIGHTS to request a “PROVISIONAL BALLOT.” Vote in that ballot,
and then let the lawyers from the two parties fight things out.

Do you live in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and New Hampshire? If
you do, you can REGISTER AND VOTE ON THE SAME DAY.

_packages/election2004/10038669.htm.

An IMPORTANT REMINDER:

As soon as the next president is known, 80-20 will REVERT BACK to its NON-PARTISAN stand, until the NEXT endorsement. AFTER the endorsement, 80-20 becomes partisan again so that both parties will serve our rightful interests to win 80-20's endorsement. That is what
effective politics is all about – CARROTS & STICKS.

GO VOTE FOR KERRY. GO VOTE FOR KERRY. GO VOTE FOR KERRY.

UNITY IS POWER. VOTE AS A BLOC FOR KERRY.

Remember these 2 key points:
1. Kerry & Edwards both promised in writing to enforce Executive Order 11246, a law that has been used to eliminate job related discrimination for all Americans, except for Asian Americans.
Bush and Cheney REFUSED to promise.

2. Kerry & Edwards both condemned in writing Congressman Howard Coble, House Chairman of "Homeland Security Subcommittee" who justified the WWII internment of Japanese Americans. Bush & Cheney were SILENT.

See a collage of newspaper ads that 80-20 has placed in various Communities, which stressed the above two points.

Kerry Overtook Bush in the Homestretch

[A] Kerry 0vertook Bush in poll in the Homestretch

The Washington Post and ABC poll, which has always shown Kerry to be further behind Bush than most other polls showed on 10/27 that Kerry has finally overtook Bush by 2 points, although it is still within the statistical uncertainty. Visit
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/elections/2004/charting.html

[B} 36 Newspapers Abandoned Bush For Kerry, according to Washington Post.

In addition 9 papers abandoned Bush but didn't endorse Kerry. Bush has won over only 6 papers that backed Gore in 2000. In terms of circulation, the papers that endorsed Kerry beat those of Bush by 17.5 million to 11.5 million. In short, the informed group is abandoning Bush in significant numbers.

[C] AsAms Will Win Regardless Of Who Wins on November 2nd.

80-20 is working hard to help our endorsed candidate, John Kerry, win. However, it is important for us to realized that SO LONG AS WE VOTE AS A BLOC, we'll win on NOVEMBER 2, regardless of who will win the White House.

Politicians & political parties will always court those who can help them win the next election. If we deliver another bloc vote in 2004, on top of the one in 2000, both parties will become believers that the AsAm community is now a bloc voter. That means: the two parties will then earnestly compete to serve our rightful interests!

Vote as a bloc, and our DREAM will come true!

QUIZ QUIZ QUIZ
Know the total monetary worth of 80-20's conditional endorsement of Kerry?

Ans: $4 to $8 million dollars! That will be the cost of sending 8 pro-Kerry
mails (by Bulk or by first class) to 1.1 million AsAm families and individuals.
That is not to mention money that 80-20 spent on TV and newspaper ads. You know
the impact of pouring this kind of money in support of Kerry in 4 weeks? Let
those who had ignored the Asian Am. community BEWARE!

Kerry May Appoint AsAm To Supreme Court/ + & - Reactions

[A] KERRY MAY APPOINT AN ASAM TO THE SUPREME COURT!!

Three days after 80-20 raised the Supreme Court Justices issue
worrying about a Supreme Court filled with Bush appointees, the NY
Times answered. A front page article on 10/22 says that Kerry may
appoint the first Asian American to the Supreme Court! See excerpt:

“With no vacancies on the court in more than a decade, there
is heightened expectation that the next president will have
one or more opportunities to choose justices and shape the
court for years to come.

Some people who could be considered for the Supreme Court,
according to interviews with several Democratic advisers:

Harold Hongju Koh, the dean of Yale Law School. Professor
Koh, a widely admired scholar who has worked in both
Democratic and Republican administrations, would be the
court's first Asian-American member.”
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/22/politics/campaign/22kbench.html

A Supreme Court appointment like that, for Asian Ams., will mean

(1) NO MORE risk of internment for us and our children, &
(2) NO MORE selective enforcement of laws, e.g. enforcing E.O. 11246
for all Americans but not for AsAms. We’ll get a just hearing in
the
highest court of our land.

Vote KERRY For A Brighter Future.

Seattle, WA a small cardboard suitcase that held all the personal
possessions of our dear friend Miyo Enokida (now in her 80s) as she
and her family headed off for internment back in the bad old days of
WWII. Patriot Act and all lead me to think it would not be beyond the
imagination to anticipate Bush/Cheney imposing the same today on
various "suspect" populations. I will sign up for 80/20 membership
today. Check my web site . George F. Drake

9) Thank you for sending me some very valuable info. I always read
them with interest. Jagat

10) Thank you for the message. I strongly support the 80-20

Perhaps it would be best for those who oppose the United States and
what the country stands for to leave. GK

3) Go back to your dog eating jungle you fxxking rag head .

4) FxxK YOU STUPID LIB Khiet Tran

5) You freaking Communist. Benjamin Lane

Supreme Court Justices/ How You Can Help

[A] ARE YOU WORRIED?

Four of the 9 Supreme Court Justices may retire, according to
many accounts. Their ages:

William H. Rehnquist, Chief Justice, 80 years old.
John Paul Stevens, 84 years old.
Sandra Day O'Connor, 74 years old.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 71 years old.

A NY Times opinion piece asked in its title: "Imagining America if
George Bush Chose the Supreme Court."

For Asian Americans (AsAms), there is a more threatening issue.
When Pres. Roosevelt ordered during WWII the internment of ALL
Japanese Ams in the continental USA, Fred Korematsu challenged the
order all the way up to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ruled
that he and ALL Japanese Ams. be interned while only those Italian
and German Ams. who were suspected of espionage were also
interned.

Remember, John Kerry and John Edwards condemned Cong.
Howard Coble, who justified internment. George Bush and Dick
Cheney did NOT. Now you know the importance of electing John
Kerry.

[B] HOW YOU CAN HELP KERRY

(1) The simplest way you can help WITH AN IMPACT is to write a
letter to the editor of your local paper. Please be brief & to the
point.
That's how editors like it. Talk about issues that most Americans care
about.
(2) Advise S. B. Woo how to buy ads in free papers in the states

FL, and OH, whether it is in Korean, Vietnamese or Chinese. Please
contact him via sbw@udel.edu. 80-20 wants to buy more ads.

[D] HAVE YOU SEEN OUR TV OR NEWSPAPER ADS?

Our TV ads are seen in 50 states via Phoenix, TVB (Jade) and
ETTV. They are seen around News time, variety shows and movies. If
you don't have those channels, you can view them by visiting

are in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Missouri and New Jersey.

[E] HOW 80-20 USES CARROTS & STICKS

1. For about 3 yrs. & 9 months, 80-20 is NON-partisan.
2. After 80-20 has endorsed, it is VERY partisan in favor of the
3. endorsed candidate. That is when 80-20 rewards & punishes.
4. After the election, 80-20 is again NON-partisan.

Why? Carrots & sticks! That is the ONLY way to induce the two
political parties to COMPETE to serve the rightful interests of Asian
Americans. WE punish the party enough that ignores us. It'll learn
NOT TO IGNORE US again. UNITY IS POWER. Vote as a bloc.

An 80-20 Member Registering Voters

The following account is by William Uy, a life member of 80-20 and a Republican Delegate to 80-20's Endorsement Convention, of his recent experience registering voters in Oakland, CA.

Dear 80-20 Supporters,

I thought that you would be interested in the results of our (my wife Jing and I) voter registration activity in Oakland Chinatown. Since we do not speak Cantonese, we were lucky that three senior high schoolers - who speak Cantonese - volunteered to help us.

In a total of 6.5 hours (in two days), we registered 128 voters (includes on-site registration and cards requested) – predominantly Chinese Americans. We were busy the moment we set up our registration table. 53 of those were registered on-site and 35 were FIRST TIME voters. Even though we have voter registration cards with Chinese instructions, there were some who
still needed help filling out the cards. We also helped those, who brought their actual ballots and do not know what to do, even though the ballots have both Chinese and English instructions.

I tell you! It was a truly very satisfying and patriotic work. This is specially so when you watched the excitement and determination of some frail, white hair senior housewives who were registering for the first time in their life – and they are for Kerry!

Party affiliation of those registered on site: 2 Republicans, 14 Democrats, 37 declined to state party affiliation. However, it is safe to assume that over 90% of the 128 voters are for Kerry – judging from their comments.

Attached are some pictures taken of our voter registration activity. Note that I have used 80-20 as the organizer of this activity.

We also conducted voter registration at our parish church, St. Ignatius, in Antioch. Only 3 came to register (all Democrats).

William Uy

48 Nobel Laureates on Bush / Bush On Vietnamese

[A] 48 Nobel Laureates Think Pres. Bush MISUSES Science:

Earlier this year, a report was issued, entitled "Scientific Integrity in Policymaking: An Investigation into the Bush Administration's Misuse of Science." Signers include

62 National Medal of Science recipients, and
135 members of the National Academy of Sciences!

[B] What Pres. Bush Thinks of Vietnamese. What An INSULT!

On the Sept. 27 edition of the O'Reilly Factor, a Fox News Channel show, the following conversation between Pres. Bush and O'Reilly occurred:
O'REILLY: The South Vietnamese didn't fight for their freedom,
which is why they don't have it today.
BUSH: Yes.
O'REILLY: Do you think the Iraqis are going to fight for their
freedom?
BUSH: Absolutely. Read the transcript:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,133712,00.html .

The Vietnamese American is the only AsAm group that still favors Pres. Bush to Kerry. Look, however, what Bush thinks of Vietnamese. Politicians often ABUSE their MOST LOYAL supporters who are POLITICALLY NAIVE. Here is one example of this kind of abuse! What an INSULT! Pass this email to your Vietnamese friends.

Why Go For Kerry? / Good news

Our "Hope & Fear " are what led us to Kerry.

First, MORE HOPE for winning equal opportunity in workplaces e.g. in getting raises, promotions and rising to the top.

Kerry & Edwards both promised in writing to enforce
Executive Order 11246 for Asian Americans. EO 11246
is a law that has been used to eliminate discrimination
in workplaces for ALL Americans except for Asian Ams.
Bush & Cheney REFUSED to promise.

Second, LESS FEAR of having our civil rights violated, if, God forbid, a war breaks out between the U.S. & an Asian nation, say North Korea.

Even the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (with many Bush
appointees) reported that the Bush administration's civil rights
record was not satisfactory. Visit
http://www.usccr.gov/press/2004/100504b.htm
Would threats and harassment come to YOU & YOUR FAMILY,
whether you are N. Koreans or not, since our compatriots don't
know the difference between N. Koreans & Asians Americans?
Remember how Sikhs, Arabs and Indian Americans were
threatened & harassed in the post 9/11 atmosphere?
Would a Bush Administration provide as much support for you
as a Kerry Administration?

Will the worst - internment - happen?

Kerry & Edwards condemned in writing Congressman
Howard Coble, Chairman of House Subcommittee on
Homeland Security who publicly justified on 2/3/2003 WWII
internment of Japanese Americans.
Bush & Cheney were SILENT, in the face of a huge
protest from every component of the AsAm community.

THEREFORE, vote for Kerry/Edwards for OUR OWN SAKE.

[Pass the above to your friends & relatives.]

[B] HOW YOU CAN HELP SENATOR KERRY
We've constructed a special web page to help get Senator Kerry elected. Please go visit, if you want to help: http://www.80-20initiative.net/endorsekerry.html .

The "reservation" in our endorsement involved diverting resources, which is also a clear message to Senator Kerry & the Democratic Party to do more for the Asian Am. community IN THE FUTURE. That said and done, 80-20 intends to do its best to help Kerry get elected.

Those with ethnic cable TV in CA and ethnic satellite TV in the nation may begin to see 80-20's TV ad urging AsAms to vote for Kerry. To see a similar spot shown in 2000, go to

As such, I indicated in the letter that we would give our future donations to "80-20 Initiative for Asian Americans" and Kerry will get support from "80-20 Initiative". 80-20 Endorses, with reservation, Sen. Kerry & Why

80-20's elected Delegates, composed of 1/3 Republicans, 1/3 Democrats and 1/3 Independents, unanimously voted to "endorse , with reservation, Senator John Kerry for President." Their reasons are seen in the press release appended at the end.

In spirit, the "endorsement with reservation" means the following. 80-20 sends a clear message to all politicians & political parties: "If you want AsAms' votes and money, you need to earn it. No more free lunch."

In pragmatic terms for Asian Americans, the "endorsement with reservation" means the following: 80-20 still STRONGLY recommends that AsAms vote for Kerry. However, the 80-20 National will not be going all out in applying its resources to campaign for Kerry. The National will divert part of its war chest for a lawsuit against the Department of Labor which will better serve our community's interest. However, we'll still be doing a lot for Senator Kerry**.

In pragmatic terms for the Kerry campaign, the "endorsement with reservation" may imply the following: A recent poll showed the choice of Kerry/Bush among AsAms is 43/36, with 20% undecided. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-asianvote15sep15,15189204.story?coll=la-headlines-nation,5189204.story?coll=la-headlines-nation . Having endorsed Kerry/Edwards, 80-20 predicts that by election time, we'll
increase Kerry's current 7 point lead to at least 30 among AsAms. However, had 80-20 decided on a full endorsement two weeks ago, it would have delivered 80% of the Asian American votes, resulting in a 60 point margin of victory for Kerry among AsAms.

In summary, 80-20's decision achieves three goals. a) To let President Bush and the Republican Party know that if you don't help us, we don't help you. b) To let Senator Kerry and the Democratic Party know that you had helped us some and we'll help back some. c) To let both parties know that 80-20 has tremendous ability to deliver Asian Am. votes. If the two Parties don't believe it now, on election day they'll find out the 80-20's "endorsement with reservation" would increase Senator Kerry's current 7-point lead to at least 30 among Asian Am. voters. Imagine, what they could have gained, had they earned 80-20's FULL endorsement!

**80-20 National will still focus in a couple of contested states to try to win electoral votes for Senator Kerry. We'll still do TV and newspaper ads. The ads will still be in four languages: English, Korean, Vietnamese & Chinese. However, given the delay of two weeks in getting all such efforts started and the allocation of fewer resources, the amount of the buy and the length of air time will obviously not be as large.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (October 2, 2004)
Contact Person: S. B. Woo, (302) 366 0259

Largest Asian American PAC Endorses, with Reservation,
John Kerry for President

80-20, a National cyberspace organization capable of reaching 70% of Asian American (AsAm) registered voters in 30 hours, announced today, with reservation, to endorse Senator John Kerry for President. This decision was unanimously made by 1/3 Republicans, 1/3 Independents, and 1/3 Democrats, 2 weeks after its Endorsement Convention in San Mateo voted to postpone a decision.

A recent poll showed the choice of Kerry/Bush among AsAms is 43/36, with 20% undecided. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-asianvote15sep15,1,5189204.story?coll=la-headlines-nation . Having endorsed Kerry/Edwards, 80-20 predicts that by election time, we'll increase Kerry's current 7 point lead to at least 30.

Had 80-20 decided on a full endorsement two weeks ago, it would have delivered 80% of the Asian American votes, resulting in a 60 point margin for Kerry. 80-20 is sending a clear message to all politicians and political parties: "if you want AsAms' votes and money, you need
to earn it. No more free lunch!"

Senator Kerry was given the nod because, in comparison, he and the Democratic party are better than Bush and the Republican Party for the past 4 years. Here are the comparisons:

A) Senators Kerry and Edwards both promised in writing to help AsAms achieve equal opportunity in workplaces through the enforcement of Executive Order 11246, while Mr. Bush did not. http://www.80-20initiative/preselect.html EO 11246 has been enforced to break the glass ceiling for African Americans, women, Latinos, Native Americans, but not for Asian Americans.

B) Kerry & Edwards sided with AsAms in condemning Congressman Howard Coble, Chair, House Subcommittee on Homeland Security. Coble stated in public on Feb. 4, 2003 that internment of Japanese Americans during WWII was for protecting Japanese Ams. AsAms would be most worried by that type of protection should there be a significant conflict between USA and an Asian nation. In contrast, Bush & Cheney were silent. See Kerry and Edward statements:
http://www.80-20initiative.net/Kerry.html , and
http://www.80-20initiative.net/Edwards.html

C) The Democratic Party's position on immigration policy and anti-hate crime policy is better for all minorities including AsAms.

80-20 will divert a part of its election war chest to its pending lawsuit against the Department of Labor for its non-enforcement of Executive Order 11246 for AsAms.

In 2000, 80-20 endorsed Gore, and delivered nationally "more than 2 of every three votes" to him, according to a very large national survey of how Asian Americans voted, partially sponsored by the National Science Foundation (http://www.80-20initiative.net/PNAAPs.html ) 80- 20 is rated as one of the two most effective cyberspace organizations in the 2000 election, by a book published by three Syracuse University professors (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0813340055/qid=1025198992/ref==sr_1/104-2670764-6623936 ).

Voter Registration Deadline is Oct. 12 or earlier

The deadline is 10/12 or earlier for most states, e.g. for NJ it is
10/4. So here is the easiest way to register & vote. Or go to
http://www.areyouregistered.com/, an affiliate organization of 80-20.

For US citizens only! Two types of citizens need to register:
(1) those who've never registered, and (2) having registered but
have moved to a new address. Please fulfill your obligation as
a citizen and an educated person.

Here is the EASIEST WAY to register to vote! It will be the most
meaningful 10 minutes you'll spend in your life for your offspring.
GO TO: https://ssl.capwiz.com/congressorg/nvra/ (If the letters
appear in blue, put your cursor on it and click once. You'll be on page 1 to register. If the letters have the same color as the text, then copy and paste it to your browser. Hit return or enter, you'll be on page 1.) Or

On page 1, you download Adobe Acrobat, if you don't already have it. The downloading is free & automatic. Then go to the map and click on your state. That leads you to page 2.

On page 2, fill out the form: check each square box on top and fill in required info next to blanks with a red *. Click once on each of the (instructions) written in red to help you fill out the correct information. For "Choice of Party," your choice is Republican, or (Independent /Decline) or Democrat. For most states, if you want to vote in the primary, you must choose either Dem. or Rep., although some states (e.g. CA) allow independents to vote in EITHER party's primary.
Click on (Instructions) next to Choice of Party to find out what choices you have. After you have filled the required information, go to the bottom of the page to click on the "Preview My Voter Registration" to go to page 3.

On page 3, you proofread the information, then click "Get My Application" or download at the bottom of the page. Please be patient, it takes a while to download. But it is a LOT FASTER than going to someplace to register.

On one of the down loaded pages, there will be the address for you to send your application to.

Upon receiving your application, your state will mail you a voter registration card. YOU NEED TO FILL THAT OUT AND MAIL IT IN. Only then are you truly registered. Note that registering to vote is ALWAYS A TWO-STEP PROCESS, whether you register via a
website or travel to a registration place.

GO TO: https://ssl.capwiz.com/congressorg/nvra/ NOW!
BE A REGISTERED VOTER!!! Be one for your children's and grand-
children's sake.

When the "Voter Registration Card" comes, you may want to choose to vote Absentee. That is you can VOTE BY MAIL instead of going to a polling place. It is again the easiest way!!!

Most states allow it. About 20 days before Nov. 2, you will receive a ballot on which you may check whom to vote. Put the ballot in an envelop, sign on the back side of the envelop, mail it and you will have voted. You will have fulfilled you sacred duty as a citizen and TO YOUR CHILDREN, AS AN EDUCATED PERSON.

SAVE this e-mail & forward it to your relatives & friends. Thank you.

Readers Comments on How 80-20 fought ..

Comments poured in. Readers reacted to 80-20's decision to postpone its endorsement and 80-20's lawsuit against the Dept. of Labor. It seem that the stronger the attack against 80-20, the stronger 80-20 gets. Truth wins out under public scrutiny. We want to thank the ChAm GOP bigwigs for making the existence of EO 11246 well known among AsAms, and that 80-20 is fighting for them.

READER'S COMMENTS

1) I appreciate you and the work of 80-20. Both parties need to understand that they should not make assumptions about our community. Thank you for standing up for what is right. I will be sending in my membership dues today.
Carol Suzuki, Chair, Oregon Commission on Asian Affairs

2) God job. Keep it up! Pedro Chan

3) Go S.B. Ting W. Lee

4) You are an honorable and honest civil rights leader for Asian American communities, which is the way beyond any partisan or individual interest. This is the mission of 80-20. I regret that those Chinese Americans (who attacked you) may either have failed to understand you or misunderstood you. It does not matter whether he or she is democratic, republican, independent or whatever. One thing we must face and always remember is we are yellow--Chinese or Asian American identity. It is a sellout and betrayal if one does not know one ethnic and cultural identity or fail to fight for the civil rights of its own group.

We thank you for your wonderful work and services for the communities and for Asian Americans. We salute you!
Respectfully submitted
Y-T. Lee

P. S. Please feel free to forward this to other colleagues.

5) I certainly support you and 80-20. I really appreciate your effort and your spirit. Tell me some registration information, and I will consider what I can do for you. Qiang Liu

6) If Elaine Chao does not work to advance AsAm interests, then she does not deserve AsA support. I would vote for a Caucasian rather than an AsianAm if the Caucasian candidate does more to help AsAm causes than a look-alike AsA. Bill

7) I have been waiting for 80-20's suggestion of block voting for one candidate. Since I read your e-note today, I will be patiently waiting again. Thanks for all the hard work you did for us Asians.
Barbara Yang from Cupertino, Calif.

8) you must give stronger support to 80-20, the Asian-American organization founded by S.B. Woo, before i will give any more money.
Amy Han in her reply to Mary Beth Cahill, Kerry-Edwards 2004

9) Thank the e-mail, I think even both so call big party do not care our request, we can vote third party, we do not let them think we are cheap, they have to do something for our votes, I will pray for you.
Morgan Shen

10) Thanks for your response to the Republican attack. It makes the issue much more clearer. Also, thanks for the 2 week postponement of 80/20's endorsement for the presidential nominees. If no firmer & active response from them, why not postpone another 2 weeks if it can
be done practically? Actually, their job is on the hook. We should take the opportunity of the close contest between them.
Bob Chang

11) Your organization is making a loyal believer out of me! Keep up the good work! Mike Lim, Senior, Urban Studies, UC Berkeley

12) Nothing is free in this country. If those politicians want our votes, they have to pay. Elaine Chao may not consider herself an AsAm. Otherwise she will enforce the executive order when she took her post. If we want our voice to be heard, suing her is the best way. Let the court decide! G. Lu

13) I think both party are trying to get free lunch, but at least Kerry express support in first place against that mean guy in the White House. So we have to pick better one. I suggest to ensure Demac Party again about our concern then we make final decision. We can let the
East's Chinese leader know that we are not concern partisan and not against Ms. Chou personally, but she is just in unlucky position at the moment. We are suing Secretary of Labor only, that is all we care.(But should we consider not fight each other which being laughed by other races, or have another way to do it??)
Thomas Lee

14) You have my support. I realize what kind of efforts you have made to fight for the equal right that we ought to have for all of us. I admire you for your courage, and greatly appreciate what you have done and are doing for our society. I just want to say "THANK YOU VERY MUCH". Best Wishes Shu Liang (from Texas)

15) You are right. We appreciate what you have done for AsAm! You have our strong support! We believe that 80-20 should have a division in each state to expand and strengthen 80-20's influence on the US politics. I would appreciate your opinion.

Physiology & Functional Genomics, University of Florida

How 80-20 fought for you; S. B. under attacks

Two topics.

[A] 80-20 Fighting For You

80-20's Endorsement Convention (EC) decided to POSTPONE ITS
ENDORSEMENT FOR UP TO 2 WEEKS. See our press release:
http://www.80-20initiative.net/pr040919.html

Why?

80-20 is neither fowl nor fish. Hence, both "fowl/fish," i.e.
politicians in both GOP/Dem, dislike 80-20. They were
accustomed to eating our lunch (votes and money) free, while 80- 20
wants them to pay with services to our community. They both
would love to make 80-20 look bad to get back to the days of the
"Free Lunch."

Such an occasion came in the 2004 election. Both GOP and
the Dems thought 80-20's strength was in CA only (they didn't
realize how much 80-20 has planned to be effective in the
contested states). Since Bush has given up winning CA, the Bush
camp didn't even bother to send a representative to 80-20's EC.
With that, the Dems probably thought that they've got us. That is,
they thought that 80-20 has no choice but to endorse Kerry. They
sent Congressman Michael Honda who was an hour and 15
minutes late but had warm embraces with many Delegates.

Through those interactions, the Delegates sensed that Kerry's
commitment to advance the rightful concerns of the Asian
American community was insufficient. The delegates voted
overwhelmingly to postpone their endorsement for a Presidential
candidate for up to two weeks. 80-20 shall NOT offer your votes
and money to Kerry/Nader/Bush as free lunch. We are willing to
sacrifice our own interests to fight for you!

[B} S. B. Woo Under attacks, and WHAT S. B. HAS TO SAY.

For those who read Chinese, just go read S. B's short press release: http://www.80-20initiative.net/pr040921.html . His release is in Chinese because the GOP AsAm "big wigs" had a national phone hookup with the Chinese media.

For those who don't read Chinese, here is a summary. On 9/19, 4 hours before 80-20's scheduled press conference to announce its endorsement decision, the GOP big wigs called a "national" phone conference to denounce Woo, saying :

(1) S. B. has manipulated 80-20 and its Endorsement Convention
to serve Kerry,
(2) 80-20 should not sue the Dept. of Labor, its hurts the
reputation of Elaine Chao.

Surprise! 80-20 didn't endorse Kerry although it didn't know about the attacks. The reporters were all laughing at those GOP big wigs who simply can't conceive that there could be AsAms who place the community interest above partisan interests. Many reporters were also saying why sacrifice the chance of erasing the glass ceiling above 12,000,000 AsAms in order to protect the interest of one person, Elaine Chao? Let the court decide. The
court will be fair! Is someone scared that the truth will come out?

Join 80-20. It needs your help.

Great News On Three Battle Fronts

(A) Great News On the Legal Front: AsAm Legal Eagles Volunteer Pro Bono Service to 80-20 in its Suit against the Dept. of Labor:

(1) Anthony Ching, the first Solicitor General in Arizona, judge pro tem on the Arizona Court of Appeals (just below the Arizona Supreme Court) and who may also be the first Chinese American to argue cases in the US Supreme Court in Graham v Richardson and Perez v Campbell. He was initially very negative towards the merits of 80-20's suit. However, after finding out where the beef is, he volunteered his service for our community.

(2) Paul Igasaki, who for many years was a member of EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) and briefly its Acting Head is interested in strategizing with 80-20. Pro bono?

(3) Thomas Tso, A third year Harvard law student with labor law experience is organizing a team of "AsAm LEGAL EAGLES" for 80-20 as a support team for the lead lawyer and Anthony Ching.

80-20 salutes these Legal Eagles.

(B) Great News On the War Chest Front: Life Members Who Donated Again This Week:

James Cheung of NY: $8,000 , Susan & James Wu of AL: $1,000
William Tao of MO: $500 , Stella M. Y. Yu of CO: $500
Helen Chou of MO: $250 , S. B. Woo of DE: $200
Wai-Yim Ching of KS: $100 , Philip Choong of CA: $100

(C) Great News On the Public Opinion Front: UNSOLICITED emails from AsAms Regarding Elaine Chao & Accountability. Apologies for not being able to accommodate all readers' submissions.

1) "Very good report -- This is the kind of in depth stuff the membership needs. Your polite but firm analysis is very helpful and may nudge Elaine, at this late date, to do some work (although, of course, it just may be possible that the Bush administration may well be telling her not to push the issue, in which case, she should resign and speak out, as have Richard Clarke and others. (hmmm, hey, WHY NOT SEND HER A NOTE TO THAT EFFECT?) " Anson

2) "Yes, you're absolutely right about the glass ceiling at universities and major corporations! " Yuko J. Nakanishi, Ph.D, MBA Polytechnic University

3) "How DO WE COMMUNICATE WITH HER on this issue as a private citizen? that the way to avoid such criticism is not to promulgate the unfair treatment of Asian-Americans? WHAT IS HER EMAIL? "
CL Sung, M.D.

4) " Finally, I think we as AsAms should have A LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN to Ms. Chao regarding her inaction. Do you know how to contact her via email? " Christina Fong

5) "I forwarded your email to my friends & family yesterday. Got a positive response last night: What can we do as a citizen to help in this matter? Indeed, my question too. PLS ADVISE. Thanks. ."
Erica Liu

6) "I agree with you wholeheartedly on Elaine Chao. If we do not help our own people, who will." Lily

7) "I strongly agree with you. Excellent points."
Soliang (Ed) Huang, AIS, UCLA

Let's demand accountability from Elaine Chao. Many of you wanted to write her. However, we don't have her email address asianamericans@georgewbush.com and Lebens.Grant@dol.gov, in care of Secretary Elaine Chao.

Great News from three battle fronts! We are READY to win our equal opportunity in workplaces through the 2004 election. When 80-20's Endorsement Convention decides which presidential candidate to endorse this coming Sunday, WE'LL SOUND THE CLARION.

Elaine Chao & AsAm officials' ACCOUNTABILITY to us

One reason the AsAm community is politically weak is that we've
NOT asked for ACCOUNTABILITY from AsAm elected or appointed officials.

Here is what you CAN and CAN'T EXPECT from AsAm officials.

# # # # # # # # # # #
CAN'T EXPECT: To do things that will lead to the DESTRUCTION of
his/her political career, e.g. advocating benefits for AsAms only,
when less than 5% of his/her voters are AsAms or when he/she is an appointed official.
CAN EXPECT: To fight for a project that benefits AsAms ONLY when more than 65% of the votes he/she got in the last election came from AsAms. That is, re-election will not be a problem.

CAN'T EXPECT: To speak out on foreign policy issues, when he/she is not a federal official or a federal official whose duties are domestic.
CAN EXPECT: To speak up on foreign policy that YOU favor, if
he/she is a federal official whose duties include the foreign
policies.

CAN'T EXPECT: To hire exclusively AsAm employees in his/her office.
CAN EXPECT: To hire AsAms that is commensurate to the amount of campaign help (votes & money) received from our community.

CAN'T EXPECT: To serve our community AFTER retirement or defeat. He/She deserves a private life too.
CAN EXPECT: To contribute his/her political know-how once in a while, especially if he/she raised a lot of $$ from us to run a big
race & lost. He/She has some obligation to repay our community.

CAN'T EXPECT: To do favors for YOU.
CAN EXPECT: To stand up for the entire AsAm community,
whenever there is a fight for equal justice & opportunity.

CAN'T EXPECT: To exercise his/her authority to favor AsAms.
CAN EXPECT: To treat AsAms NO WORSE than other Americans.

&nb sp; # # # # # # # # #

In that last item, ELAINE CHAO HAS BEEN VERY DISAPPOINTING.

The Labor Department was charged with enforcing EO 11246, a law
that has been used to break the glass ceiling for all Americans except AsAms. She is the Labor Secretary. She is an AsAm. She doesn't risk her political career if she quietly or noisily enforces an EXISTING law in an equitable manner for AsAms. No one in America would expect her to do less. She could NEVER be charged with favoring AsAms ONLY since it has been enforced first for blacks, then for women and then for Hispanics. She must stand up for us. We need to hold her ACCOUNTABLE.

On 9/2 in New York City, Elaine Chao cried before Chinese reporters saying that she has received unfair criticism bur preferred not to answer back. 80-20 shall fight for Elaine Chao against unfair criticism. However, 80-20 wants her to answer 80-20's charge that she, as the Labor Secretary, has NOT enforced EO 11246 for AsAms. Instead of crying and saying that she was proud of her roots, she needs to prove that she treats AsAms NO WORSE than any other Americans.

80-20 has gathered a lot of evidence that AsAms face a glass ceiling. See http://www.80-20initiative.net/glassc.html. Elaine Chao needs to speak to her enforcement of EO 11246 for Asian Americans by addressing such evidence.

Suing DOL/Be An Undecided/Big War Chest/ Delegates

1) Filing A Law Suit Against The Department of Labor, DOL:

80-20 is actively preparing to sue The Department of Labor for non-enforcement of Exec. Order 11246 on behalf of AsAms. EO 11246 is a comprehensive and powerful law that broke the glass ceilings for other minorities including the blacks, the women and the Hispanics. It was never enforced for AsAm. See
http://www.imdiversity.com/villages/asian/politics_law/8020_surprise_chao_0804.asp

Such a suit has a legal precedent. The 9th Circuit court, the second highest level of courts of the land, ruled on 12/4/1979 in favor of an almost identical case. The Legal Aid Society of Alameda County filed a suit against then Labor Secretary Peter Brennan for non-enforce of EO 11246 in a number of agricultural companies. The Secretary was ordered by the court to enforce the law, and the federal contracts held by offending companies were terminated. For those of you with law training, see 608 F.2d 1319, West Law.

Feel free to contact 80-20, if your law firm is interested in representing 80-20, or your organization is interested in joining 80-20 in filing such a law suit. Email S. B. Woo: sbw@udel.edu .

80-20 AIMS TO WIN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY IN WORKPLACES FOR AsAms, WHATEVER IT MAY TAKE!!!

(2) How YOU personally may Improve AsAm Political Clout

When polled about which presidential candidate YOU are supporting,, please say “UNDECIDED” before 80-20's endorsement is known. Soon pollsters will tell Bush, Kerry and Nader campaigns that there are a lot of UNDECIDED AsAms voters. Soon, these campaigns will court us with urgency.

Only 5% of the nation's voters are still UNDECIDED today. If all of the AsAms voters, representing 2.5% of the nations’ voter, are UNDECIDED, then AsAms will represent 50% of the remaining UNDECIDED voters. Can you image how much both parties will be willing to do to get our vote?

Be UNDECIDED, until 80-20 endorses! You hold your line, and collectively we'll get our EQUAL OPPORTUNITY IN WORKPLACES.

(3) Record High Membership & A Bigger & Bigger War Chest

"The National Review" Featured 80-20

80-20 got a lot of press notice lately. The BIG mainstream papers
that mentioned 80-20 include:

Chicago Tribune Philadelphia Inquirer,
Newsday, NY, LA Times,
Boston Globe, Lexington Herald-Leader, KY,
Kansas City Star, MO The Guardian, UK,
ABC News, Miami Herald,
MSNBC, Seattle Post Intelligencer, &
Jose Mercury News, CA

To verify, just use Yahoo or Google to do a search.

However, the best demonstration of 80-20's effectiveness emerged on 8/12. After 80-20's Exec. Comm. decided that it would express its displeasure publicly with the lack of response from the Bush camp, it sent to its 1.1 million subscribers a mass email entitled "Bush & Elaine Chao Don't Care About AsAms." Two days later, a prominent national conservative weekly magazine that is well-identified with the Republican Party, The National Review, reacted.

On 8/12, the magazine carried a 1500 word article devoted ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY TO 80-20. Its title is "If You're API and You Know It...vote Democratic?" Quoting 80-20 extensively, it hinted that 80-20 was a front for the Democratic Party. The article predicts that 80-20 will not be able to deliver 80-20 to Kerry, but might at best deliver 60-40. Go
http://www.nationalreview.com/derbyshire/derbyshire200408120826.asp

80-20 is NOT a front for anyone. However, IF 80-20 endorses Kerry, though it has NOT, it shall deliver 80 to 20 for Kerry! If Bush wants our votes, he'll have to deliver two BIG ITEMS: 1) enforce Exec. Order 11246 for Asian Ams immediately, and 2) ease Congressman
Howard Coble out of the chairmanship of House Subcomm. On Homeland Security. 80-20 helps those who help AsAm's legitimate aspirations. 80-20 is always true to its words.

To be a delegate to 80-20's Endorsement Convention you MUST BE a member & a citizen prior to August 20th. Using a credit card, visit

Bush & Elaine Chao Don't Care About AsAms

The NOBLEST of all American dreams is the dream of equal opportunity for ALL Americans. Thus far, AsAms have been denied that dream. Ample statistics show that we have been denied equal opportunity in workplaces. We are given less pay for equal work and 1/3 the opportunity of all other Americans to rise to the top.

Kerry and Nader want to include AsAms in that dream. BUSH DOES NOT.

Kerry and Nader have promised IN WRITING to enforce Exec. Order 11246 for AsAms. See http://www.80-20initiative.net/preselect.html .
BUSH HAS NOT, after repeated prompting by the leadership of 80-20** and many of you who sent faxes and emails.

Bush is the sitting president. He doesn't have to wait till after the election to open the opportunity for us. He could order Labor Secretary ELAINE CHAO to enforce EO 11246 for us NOW.

ELAINE CHAO doesn't have to wait for Bush to order her. Since 1965, the law has empowered the Labor Secretary to enforce EO 11246 for ALL Americans. What is the use of having an AsAm in the cabinet, if she doesn't have the integrity to enforce an existing law to protect AsAms from being discriminated in the workplace? See FOOTNOTE for evidence of non-enforcement.

After 4 years of quiet and diplomatic effort to get President Bush and Secretary Chao to open opportunity for AsAms & getting no action**, 80-20 must express utter disappointment in President Bush's Administration.

We urge all AsAms to tell their friends and relatives about the irresponsible policy decisions of those two individuals. 80-20 IS NOW CONSIDERING INITIATING A CLASS ACTION AGAINST THE U.S. LABOR DEPARTMENT.

After this public condemnation of the Bush Administration, if it still fails to respond BEFORE Nov. 2, then vote against Bush on that day.

Politics is funny, however. Sometimes, when politicians' mistakes are called to attention openly, they correct themselves. If and when that is the case, 80-20 will RECONSIDER its current position. However, AsAms will be foolish not to take Bush's non-response at its face value.

Condemn the Bush Administration's failure to respond to our legitimate concerns, and be psychologically prepared to vote against him in November.

Words are not enough. Speaking against Bush is not as good as helping 80-20 to establish a big war chest to punish the politician who doesn't care about us. Join or contribute to 80-20. Using
a credit card, http://www.80-20initiative.net/membership.html or
http://www.80-20.info/membership.html . PERSONAL
checks are payable to "80-20 PAC", mailed to:
Jing-Li Yu 80-20 special Assistant
P.O. Box 527340 Flushing, NY 11352-7340 .
Write down your E-MAIL address & PHONE no. on the BACK of the
check. Basic membership is $35; Family (2 voters) is $50, Life
Membership is $1,000. Student membership is $15.

** A record of 80-20's quiet and persistent effort urging the Republican party to enforce EO11246 for AsAms is documented in
http://www.80-20initiative.net/gop.html . KEEP THIS IN MIND IF THE GOP ACCUSES 80-20 OF BEING A "FRONT FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY."

FOOTNOTE: Let's look at the statistics in universities, the so- called
bastion of idealism in our society. University
administrators are recruited almost exclusively from the ranks
of faculty and professionals already employed in the academic
world. Hence the ratio of [administrators / (faculty +
professionals)], broken down to races, is a measure of the
opportunity enjoyed by American citizens of different races.
For full-time staff nationwide, that ratio for blacks (non-
Hispanic) is 0.193. That is, for every 100 black faculty and
professionals there are 19 black administrators. The ratio for
Native American is 0.169; for white (non-Hispanic) is 0.157; and
for Hispanic is 0.145. The national average is 0.150. The ratios
for men/women are rrespectively 0.15. However, it is only
0.057 for Asian American. The only group that has a lower
number is the "resident aliens," whose ratio is 0.046.
http://nces.ed.gov/programs/digest/d02/tables/XLS/Tab224.xls
The situation is other US enterprises is worse!

Regardless of how Bush and Elaine Chao may defend themselves in
reaction to this e-mail, evidence will show that EO 11246 has
NEVER been enforced for AsAms. CIRCULATE THIS MESSAGE TO
YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.

When EO11246 is enforced, in 10 years there will be an increase of 6500 AsAm administrators in universities alone. When all domestic institutions are taken into account, the enforcement will benefit about 1 million AsAms directly. The ripple effect will benefit all AsAms greatly.

An AP article says shame on Asian Americans

Associated Press sent out an article entitled " Unlike Hispanics,
Surging Asian Population Lacks Political Clout ." Although it didn't say "Shame on Asian Americans, " to me it certainly implied it.

Hopefully, APAs will recognize that our lack of political clout
is a shame on us. Lacking political clout is a big reason why
a law, EO 11246, that is supposed to break the glass ceiling for all
Americans was NEVER enforced for APAs. It means that we failed to secure equal opportunity for our children.

How come we are so impotent?

Here are some reasons. Our focus on personal benefits rather than
community benefits is one reason. For example, our rich people give tens of thousands of dollars for a handshake or a photo with a famous politician or a possible later appointment rather than to APA political organizations. Even our political activists have focused on their respective turf concerns rather than APA unity, the bedrock of political clout. Another reason is that our support for politicians foolishly depends on their titles and likelihood to win the next election, NOT by how much they have served our community. In other words, we might have been too selfish for our own good.

80-20 is normally positive and optimistic. However, every once in a while we need to look at our own shortcomings in order to build a brighter future.

The article ended with a quote from S. B. Woo, 80-20 President: "To have one minority ignored by the political establishment is not healthy."

Let's vow to erase that shame. Help our community to help
ourselves. If you like 80-20's message & its fierce determination to
establish political clout for APAs, JOIN US.

In the Chinese American community, the article was carried by The
World Journal as a front page, top headline story.

Easiest Way to Register & Vote. SAVE!

For US citizens only! Are you registered to vote? Only 52% of eligible APAs are registered to vote, compared to 70% for the entire US. Two types of citizens need to register: (1) those who've never registered, and (2) having registered but have moved to a new address. Please fulfill your obligation as a citizen and an educated person.

Here is the EASIEST WAY to register to vote! It will be the most meaningful 10 minutes you'll spend in your life for your offspring.
GO TO: https://ssl.capwiz.com/congressorg/nvra/ (If the letters appear in blue, put your cursor on it and click once. You'll be on page 1 to register. If the letters have the same color as the text, then copy and paste it to your browser. Hit return or enter, you'll be on page 1.)

Note that registering to vote is ALWAYS A TWO-STEP PROCESS, whether you register via a website
or travel to a registration place.

GO TO: https://ssl.capwiz.com/congressorg/nvra/ NOW! BE A REGISTERED VOTER!!! Be one for your children's and grand-children's sake.

Put the ballot in an envelope, sign on the back side of the envelop, mail it and you will have voted. You will have fulfilled you sacred duty as a citizen and TO YOUR CHILDREN, AS AN EDUCATED PERSON.

SAVE this e-mail & forward it to your relatives & friends. Thank you.

A Community Without 80-20 to Serve You

What if 80-20 vanishes from our community? Just consider the loss of two of the its current projects:
(1) Introducing a Communal Tradition To Display Flags on July 4th, &
(2) Breaking the Glass Ceiling for AsAms at the grass roots level.

Do these current projects bring benefits to our community? Do they ease the struggle for our next generations?

(1) Introducing a Community Tradition To Display
Flags on July 4th:

These radio stations have been broadcasting 80-20's message to display a flag on July Fourth for about 2 weeks already:
In Los Angeles:
1230 AM, in Korean, 1370 AM, in Mandarin,
1480 AM, in Vietnamese, 1430 AM, in Cantonese,
1300 AM, in Mandarin,
In San Francisco:
1400/1450 AM, in Cantonese, FM 96.1, in Mandarin,
In NYC:
1480 AM, in Cantonese, FM 104.3 (subs. only), in Mandarin

In addition, 4000 flags have been sent by 80-20 to those who requested them. When combined, these project have cost 80-20 about $60K over the last 4 years. Result? Displaying flags on July 4th & identifying enthusiastically with our great nation is becoming a COMMUNITY TRADITION.

(2) Breaking the Glass Ceiling for the Working AsAms

Everyone talks about the glass ceiling. How many organizations have done something to BREAK the glass ceiling for YOU.

In the 2000 election, 80-20 requested in writing to presidential candidates for the historic first AsianAm cabinet member. Our political system responded. There have been 3 cabinet positions since. However, only our elite have benefited through that effort.

In the 2004 election, 80-20 aims to break the glass ceiling for the glass roots. John Kerry & Ralph Nader have already promised in writing to enforce a very powerful existing law (Exec. Order 11246) for AsAms to help us win EQUAL OPPORTUNITY IN RAISES, PROMOTIONS, & IN RISING TO THE TOP. http://www.80-20initiative.net/preselect.html.

Can you visualize our community without 80-20? Would you pay your membership as the insurance money to make sure that 80-20 will be there to serve you, when you are in need?

Using a credit card, visit
http://www.80-20initiative.net/membership.html
Using a PERSONAL check, payable to "80-20 PAC", & mailed to:
Jing-Li Yu 80-20 special Assistant

Lots of GREAT News

1) 80-20 held a teleconference on 6/19 & raised $60,000 to
$89,000 for its war chest for the 2004 election. None will be
given to the endorse presidential candidate. Funds will be used to

80-20 is a national, nonpartisan, Political Action Committee
dedicated to winning equal opportunity and justice for all
Asian Pacific Americans through a SWING bloc vote, ideally
directing 80% of our community's votes and money to the
presidential candidate endorsed by the 80-20, who better
represents the interests of all APAs. Hence, the name "80-20" was
created. For more details, visit http://www.80-20initiative.net/
