How to make your vote COUNT - vote for our group interest as 80-20 will recommend on 10/29

Endorsement Convention Convenes on 10/29 (Sat.)
Where Will the AsAm Bloc
vote Go in 2016?
Since
its inception, 80-20 has advocated "to REWARD politicians who share our concerns and to
PUNISH those who don't."
That is how the Irish, Polish, Italians, and Jewish have won their
equal citizenship in America. That is why 80-20 holds an Endorsement Convention (EC).
Over the years, 80-20 has build up the size of the AsAm bloc vote.
See below:
The bloc
vote is a good inducement for presidential candidates to help us achieve equal
opportunity. But it is not always 100% successful. For
example, in the 2004 election, when John Kerry didn't share one of our
major concerns, although he was better than his Republican
opponent, 80-20 only endorsed him WITH RESERVATION.
As a
result, Kerry won a majority of the AsAm vote but with a very small
winning margin. He lost the presidential election.
Warning! A
Similar Situation May Exist This Year
Sec.
Clinton has answered our questionnaire. Trump has not. They both
have hardly spent any time campaigning for the AsAm support.
Hillary made 1 of her 397 speeches to
an AsAm org. having already endorsed her. However, AsAms represent 4% of the
voters. Some contend that Donald had done slightly better.
80-20 is
trying to change that benign negligence of both candidates. We invited both
to address 80-20's EC and humble themselves to ask for our
support. Neither has responded positively yet. That is not
satisfactory, although negotiations are still ongoing. 80-20 will stand
up for you and adhere to the reward or punishment principle, depending on the
outcome of the negotiations.
BTW,
whom EC will endorse is strictly the decision of the the 33 Delegates,
composed of 11 Democrats, 11 Independents and 11 Republicans. 80-20
has no authority over that decision, but some 80-20 Board Members are
also
Delegates. We
will express our views.

Are You Satisfied With This Year's Presidential Election?
80-20 focuses to AsAm related issues only. So here I speak as an individual. I had hoped that both candidates
will be statesmen like and would compete on the ground of who would be the
better to
(1) unite the American people;
(2) stop or reduce the gridlock in
Washington D.C.; and,
(3) start a few innovative, cost-effective and
much needed long-term projects
to compensate for one of America's worst tendencies -- short term interests only.
None of the above
happened. Instead, the two candidates stand deep in a cesspool of
acrimonious accusations of improper personal behavior. They tear the American
people further apart.
An
election should be more than deciding a winner on election day.
We need
to speak out to prevent the same type of campaigns from recurring 4 year
hence.
America's future
hinges on our speaking out NOW!
Comments will be most welcome. I want
to know your thoughts.

To the best of our knowledge, using Hillary's Speech Archive on
her website, of
the 397 speeches she gave from January to July this
year, only 1 was
to Asian Americans -- a 30 minute speech
to the group AAPI for Hillary
in San Gabriel, CA. We are 4.6% of the voters, but
we only got 0.25% of her
time. Indeed, it was to a group that already endorsed
her. Don't let her
belittle us. Many voters sense that she has a sense of entitlement.
Donald Trump? Probably worse.
So hold on to your vote. Let 80-20 work with them to get you the GOLD. |
