80-20 has begun its Endorsement Convention (EC) process. The following was sent to its members who are eligible to become candidates for Delegates to EC. You may want to read the strict ethenical standards required of all candidates at the top of "Candidate Application Form."

Be a Delegate and help make history. Date: 9/19 (Sunday).
Location: SF. CA.
The decision of our Delegates will probably influence the votes of about 1 million Asian American voters in the 2004 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. This year's presidential race is very tight. Your vote may just decide the next president of our great nation. All 3 presidential candidates
are invited to make their pitches to you personally.
80-20's Bylaws require that
(1) The Delegates will be in equal portions of Republicans, Democrats & Independents/Declines, and
(2) Delegates are to be elected by dues-paying members.

The number of Delegates will probably be between 33 to 66. If interested, please PRINT OUT THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION FORM, COMPLETE IT, AND FAX IT to 1 866 FOR-8020 (i.e. 367-8020). Or mail it to

Your application MUST reach 80-20 by mid-night of 8/28 (Saturday). Election (on web site) will be held from 8/30 to 31 (Mon. & Tue.) Results will be announced on 9/1 (Wed.) You'll have more than two weeks to reserve your air travel to SF, if necessary.

If you intend to run but can't send in the application today, reply with YES and send the application later. We need a quick estimate of the number of our Delegates for hotel arrangements.
