Losing WeChat & TikTok is nothing when compared with the hidden collateral damage you've already suffered! What might the hidden ones be? 1) If you work for a private industry or the federal government, your equal opportunity to rise to the top. While AsAms have always suffered unequal opportunity in workplaces, with Trump targeting China, we have and will suffer much much more. 2) If you work for a university or a research institution, your equal opportunity to win grants and be a reviewer of other's proposals. Trump's "America First" has a heavy dose of xenophobia & racism. Your bosses will never admit that the above is true. In some workplaces, indeed it might not be happening. On the whole, however, be smart. Figure out the best way to protect yourself. Through your personal effort? Or, through the collective effort of an exceptionally honest, dedicated, and politically experienced organization like 80-20? Why Is Trump Behaving This Way? My guess is that he wants to produce a war-like situation with China to induce voters to rally around the president at a time of national emergency. Remember that the election is less than 100 days away, and DT is losing badly. Like a young bully picking a fight, and yet wanting bystanders' sympathy, Trump has been irritating China weekly now. Soon it could be daily in the hopes that China will throw the first punch. Sigh! Where will Chinese Americans be? What do you think Trump will care more about? AsAms suffering collateral damage caused by his Big Power Diplomacy or his own re-election? Be smart! Covid-19 Attack Is the  closest approximation to Alien Invasion Any good world leader would use this extraordinary opportunity to induce all nations to work together to find an effective 1) cure and 2) vaccine as soon as possible. Only Trump would misuse such a moment to pick a fight with China to increase the tension in the Thucydides Trap* to the point of springing the trap. Why? To cover up his incompetence in dealing with Covid-19, he is desperate to assignment blame to MANY OTHERS including China! Phoenix RISING from the Thucydides Trap However, Trump is only one person, albeit the President of the U.S. The rest of humanity is 7.5 billion peace-loving people under the threat of Covid-19. WE SHALL DEFEAT HIM. In 4.5 months, Trump will have lost the election & his power. A number of vaccines, being developed around the world, will be just about available to us. It will be the ideal time for the Presidents of the U.S. and China to jointly call for the renewal of global free and open exchange of scientific information, focusing on distributing an effective & inexpensive vaccine against Covid-19** at the earliest possible date that is FREE to the world.  As a result of international collaboration, 7.5 billion people will return to normal lives sooner. The global economy will recover faster. The world will return to a normalcy, that is more peaceful than before. Phoenix will rise from the ashes!
