GREAT News: CA's Prop 16 Heading to Defeat Read these headlines! a) From LA Times: New poll finds shaky support for Proposition 16 to restore affirmative action in California (emphasis added) b) From WSJ - calling a spade a spade: An Anti-Asian Proposition - An effort to undo a California ban on racial discrimination is floundering. c). From 80-20 Empowerment PAC: We are providing you with a Powerful tool to shut down Prop 16 for good. 80-20 resolves that    "If there are AsAm elected officials in your voting district, who  have primarily raised their campaign funds from you while STILL  supporting strongly "race-preference college admissions" through  Prop 16, then 80-20 Empowerment PAC shall help you select  one to two of the worst offenders & help you defeat these officials in the 2022 election." Recall our earlier successful effort to defeat SCA5? Two AsAm elected officials betrayed our community. They were Assemblyman Paul Fong and Senator Leland Yee. So long as US-China relations is bad, Asian/Chinese American merchants, scientists, scholars, students, & professional people will suffer collateral damage. So 80-20 Initiative is trying to introduce a win-win idea to turn a hostile relationship into a cooperative one. "For the Presidents of the U.S. and China to jointly call for the renewal of global free and open exchange of scientific information, focusing on distributing an effective & inexpensive vaccine against Covid-19 at the earliest possible date that is FREE to the world" A US Senator has already promised to forward our idea to the Biden campaign foreign policy leadership team. Recently, 80-20's idea has spread to the think tanks of both nations. Good News: Scientific American & CA's Prop. 16. Bad News: WAR?

Good News: Scientific American  "Scientific American has NEVER endorsed a presidential candidate in its 175-year history. This year we are compelled to do so. We do not do this lightly." (Emphasis added) It endorsed Biden, seemingly primarily owing to the strong sense of need to "Dump Trump". Good News: Prop. 16 likely faces landslide defeat Public Policy Institute of CA’s poll revealed that "among likely voters, only 31% are for Prop 16, with 47% against." It even predicted that Prop 16 may face a landslide defeat. In contrast, Prop 15 has 51 percent in favor and 40 percent in opposition among likely voters. PPIC is CA's leading public policy think tank. A Friendly Reminder to CA's AsAm Assemblypersons  Regarding Prop 16 Many AsAm voters are so MAD that their AsAm Assemblypersons, who primarily raised campaign money from them, voted for ACA5 leading to Prop.16. They bombarded 80-20 Empowerment PAC with emails asking us to lead campaigns against those AsAm Assemblypersons in the 2022 elections. I repeatedly explained to the complainants that elected AsAm officials can NOT be expected to serve AsAm interests only. However, 80-20 agrees with them on the following future scenario:  "If these AsAm Assemblypersons will still go out of their way to support" race-preference college admissions" through Prop 16, then 80-20 shall help them select 1 to 2 worst offenders & help  the voters shop for different candidates in the 2022 election." Please pass the above message to your assemblyperson, if you think he/she belongs to that category i.e. took your community's money but continuely work against your community's interest.  Chance of WAR with China rises,  if our "DUMP TRUMP" campaign fails. A SCMP article writes that if Trump gets re-elected, "without the need to consider re-election, Trump could be largely untethered, ..... Many fear this would edge the US and China closer to war. ...."  No sane American citizen would want to see that. So do your best to tell your friends at Facebook, WeChat, Twitter and other social media platforms to "Dump Trump."
