Misdeeds of Donald Trump and His Administration Good presidents pursue world peace. Donald Trump seems to pursue war. Don't take him lightly. He is quite effective in harming us and the world. So we NEED to seize the opportunity of the 2020 election to GET RID OF HIM. We NEED to each do our share.  Here is Trump's record in "Arms Control Treaties". 1. Last year, Trump backed out of "The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Force Treaty" with Russia; 2. Last year, Trump also said he would withdraw the U.S. from the international "Arms Trade Treaty" which deals with the sale of small arms; 3. 3 days ago (05/21), Trump announced that the U.S. would back out of "The Open Skies Treaty". The Treaty has 35 parties, and is designed to provide transparency by allowing unarmed aerial surveillance over the entire territory of the participants. 4. 2 days ago, the Trump administration is reported by Washington Post to be discussing to restart the first nuclear explosion test since1992. Scary? You Bet. But There Is More  According to Fox News and NBC News, "Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Sunday (03/1/2020) said President Trump’s peace deal with the Taliban, ... ,  is part of a broader goal to refocus the United States’ military resources on preparing for a potential future war with China." Nobility of Mankind The last paragraph of a NY Times article entitled: "A New Entry in the Race for a Coronavirus Vaccine: Hope" reported:  "Oxfam, an international charity, has published an open letter from 140 world leaders and experts calling for a “people’s vaccine,” which would be “made available for all people, in all countries, free of charge.” “These vaccines have to be a public good,” said Helen Clark, a former prime minister of New Zealand, who signed the letter. “We’re not safe till everyone is safe.” The noble nature of humanity survives.  What WE Need To Do a) What 80-20 Empowerment PAC has done: 80-20 aims to “Dump Trump and Flip the Senate”. It has sent personalized requests  to its donors in the 6 battleground states and 6 competitive-senate-race-states. Effective & Simple Ways to Win

Q1: Why did you decide to "Dump Trump & Flip the Senate"?

A:  For reasons, see last week's e-newsletter entitled "Defeat Trump".

Q2: How to dump Trump?

A: Most of the states are either blue or red.  Unless there is an earth-shaking event, they'll stay that way.  The battleground states are where we need to campaign in. If Dems. can win 5 of the following 6 battleground states: AZ (electoral College Vote is 11), FL (29), MI(16), NC (15), PA (20), and WI (10), then you and I don't need to worry about Trump causing us trouble any more. 

Q3: How to flip the Senate?

A: Most of the Senate seats will either remain R or D except for the following 6:

     AL: Sen. Doug Jones (D) versus the winner of the Repub. primary on 7/14

     AZ: Sen. Kartha McSally (R) versus the winner of the Dem. primary on 8/4

     CO: Sen. Gory Gardner (R) versus the winner of the Dem. primary on 6/30

     ME: Sen. Susan Collins (R) versus the winner of the Dem. primary on 7/14

     MI:  Sen. Gary Peters (D) versus the winner of the Repub. primary on 8/4

     NC: Sen. Thom Tillis (R) versus Cal Cunningham (D)

     
Dems need to win all 6, to get a net gain of 4 seats in order to win a Senate majority of 51 (D). Note that a 50 to 50 split will leave the Senate in the hands of R, because V.P. Pence (R) will vote to break a tie. 80-20 Empower-ment PAC will donate $5,000 to each of the Democratic candidates soon, and will help them in many other ways. However, to provide a little leeway to flip the Senate, 80-20 will look for another competitive senate race to assist.

Q4: Wow. Does that make AZ, MI, & NC particularly important, since these 3 states are on both lists?

A: Yes. So we really have 9 states to focus on. They are battleground states AS, MI, NC, PA, WI, FL plus AL, CO and ME with important senate races.

Q5: What can I do to help?

A: Thank you. You are infinitely more important than 80-20 to achieve our two goals. 80-20 lays out the plan. You MUST help to implement it.

b) If you live in any of those nine state, email me if you or your spouse are

    willing to spend time collecting local AsAm e-mail addresses in your area.  

    80-20 will authorize you as Chairs or Vice Chairs of local 80-20 Commit-

    tees for this task.  You do NOT need to give these e-addresses to 80-20, 

    unless you want to.  Just forwarding 80-20's e-newsletters to them is good 

    enough.  If you incur miscellaneous expenses in that effort, send your bills 

    to Jing-Li Yu (treasurer.aaepac@80-20.org ). He'll reimburse you.  

     If you send us valid AsAm e-addresses in your area (please email 

     spl.law@hotmail.com for definition of valid), we will gratefully compensate

     you $0.30 per e-mail address. 

Q6: What will 80-20 be doing?

A: 80-20 will correspond with some wonderful AsAm leaders in the 9 states to plan the battles out.  An example is to help 80-20 to correspond with local ethnic media e.g. the free newspapers you pick up in ethnic restaurants and shopping malls.  We'll to buy political ads from them.  We may also ask our donors to deliver checks to the Dem. Senate candidates and/or Dem. state committees.

The video is only 6 minutes. It seems a "MUST".

(2) A New York Times article of today, entitled "A Sitting President, Riling the Nation During a Crisis" "By smearing his opponents, championing conspiracy theories and pursuing vendettas, political tactics in spite of a pandemic hurting millions of Americans." Note that the contents of The NY Times article is completely consistent with Dr. Lee's psychiatric report on D. Trump. Who Will be the Victims? Eventually, all people of the world will be harmed. It will probably start with Chinese Americans, spilling over to AsAms, then to the peoples of the U.S. and China, and finally all people in the world. Let's get rid of Trump via election 2020, before he inflicts much more severe damage on us.

Largest Asian American PAC Calls to Defeat Trump but Is Not Endorsing Biden

      80-20 AsAm Empowerment PAC (aka SuperPAC), by far the largest Asian American PAC in the nation, calls on Asian Americans to work for the utter defeat of Trump, but is not endorsing Biden at this time for the following reasons.

       Trump's bullying and war-like attitude towards any human beings/institutions/nations, which disagree with him, not only causes domestic dis-unity but also threatens world peace.  His unabashed self-aggrandizement, lack of respect for facts, extreme disregard for science, and lack of respect for women, immigrants and the weak set terrible examples for the citizenry of this great nation, especially our children.  He has bungled early response to the COVID-19 epidemic and 

shamelessly shifted blame. He has severely damaged the foundation of the U.S.A. He must be driven out from the most revered podium of the nation, the White House.

      We are aware that defeating Trump will mean electing Biden.  However, we are not endorsing Biden at this time not merely because of his age but also because of apparent signs of old age during some of Biden's TV appearances.  We make a distinction between defeating Trump and endorsing Biden because we want to emphasize that even an apparently aging Biden will be a much better president than Trump, especially if Biden picks a highly qualified vice presidential candidate.  If, unfortunately, Biden begins to fade as the campaign wears on, we urge all Americans to be steadfast in defeating Trump.   Starting this week, we shall actively campaign against Trump in battleground states. 

      President S. B. Woo said, "Calling a spade a spade is not in vogue in American election politics.  However, we strongly believe that telling the truth, even in election politics, is the best strategy to elect the right president & keep the faith with America."  

       80-20 Asian American Empowerment PAC also resolves to endorse all Democratic senate candidates. Woo also said, "When our nation is sadly saddled with a bombastic, utterly selfish and ignorant president, the most effective check and balance to the executive power is through the advice and consent of his own political party, which controls the Senate.  However, the Senate under Republican leadership has utterly failed to fulfill its constitutional duty. For that reason, we aim to help change the Senate leadership.  We will contribute $5,000 to each of the six competitive Democratic Senate candidates immediately, with more help for them later."
